The Best Tennis Bambooka league is sponsored by Bambooka, a company that raises funds for charitable work in Africa, through the sales of bamboo eyewear.
How it works
Entry fee for the league is £15 and results will be published on the Best Tennis website.
This competition is in principle self-governing, but in case of problems, questions or disputes, please contact Baz at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07850464839
1. Within the league, the aim is for every player to play all other players once. The matches may be played at Pools at the Park, or any other venue, if agreed by the 2 players. We are hoping to finish the league at the end of October, which will give you more than 3 months to play 5 matches
2. A match is best of 3 sets, with the 3rd set a champions tie-breaker (tie breaker until 10) (In mutual agreement, other formats may be decided, such as a full 3rd set with tie breaker at 6-6. Please ensure these matters are agreed prior to starting the match!)
3. After the match, the winner sends the full results, including sets, games and tie-breaker scores to email@example.com
4. Arranging balls and court bookings are the responsibility of the challenger. Ad Hoc court bookings can be made here: http://besttennis.co.uk/court-bookings/ Please note that it may be beneficial to become a member, paying a one-off £50 fee, to be able to play an entire year at any public venue in Richmond.
The winner will receive a pair of handmade bamboo sunglasses, sponsored by Bambooka. Go to www.bambooka.org to see the range of shades available.
Cost: £15 to enter
